Eid Ul Fitr: A Gift from Almighty Allah

The gala of Eid-ul-Fitr isn’t such a festival which Muslims have engineered, or formed on their own, neither is it distinguished in remembrance or of any particular event or personality.

This is a special reward from the Almighty Allah, which is clearly described in a Hadith, mentioned in Sunan Abu Dawood narrated by Hazrat Anas (RA) as following:

“Holy Prophet came to Madinah, the people had two days in which they used to entertain and amuse themselves. He asked: “What are these two days?” They said: “We used to amuse ourselves and take pleasure in these two days during the Days of Ignorance. The Messenger of Allah said, “Allah has substituted for you something better than these two; the Eid Ul Adha and the Eid Ul Fitr .”

Preparation of Eid-Ul-Fitr

Preparation of Eid-ul-Fitr starts almost 15 days before from the day of Eid. The Muslims make numerous preparations for this special day. Men, women and children go to markets and purchases new clothes and shoes. During these 10-15 days, markets are flooded with people buying gifts and special articles for Eid.

One day before Eid, peoples decorate their homes with bunting and balloons whereas providing their residences a new glance. Families make the planning for next three days of Eid ul Fitr. What to do on the first day of Eid? On the 2nd day of Eid visitation planned to relatives and on the 3rd day of Eid planning for touring the historical places.

Eid-Ul-Fitr: A Great Opportunity for Social Interaction

To join their beloved families, relatives, and friends, Muslims from different parts of the world travel to their homelands to rejoice this holy festival with their family and friends.
In the early morning of Eid day, children and men get ready by wearing clothes and shoes, using perfumes and move towards mosques for praying the Eid Prayer.

On Eid day the children look extremely blissful. Their faces twinkle with naive, enjoyment when they dress in shining new clothes and shoes. After prayer, people get together and swap over high spiritual wishes / ‘Eid Mubarak’. After this get-together, they go back to their residences to take pleasure in themselves by enjoying sweet noodles and various additional yummy things.
